Inspiring addresses

This text was initially published by Profweb under a CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 International licence, before Eductive was launched.

Profweb asked its team what their favourite sites were as an end-of-season reading list for our readers over the holidays. The responses are below. Although most texts are in French, Norm Spatz has a number of recommendations in English.

  • Martin Parrot, editor, spotted this article on the blog Actu@litic at Cégep St-Félicien. Bernard Gagnon, IT Representative and Profweb author, explains what the inverted classroom is. On Actu@litic, one can also read a recent survey about Moodle at CEGEP Saint-Félicien: 23% (25 of 111) cegep teachers regularly used this learning platform in their teaching during the Fall 2014 session).

  • Caroline Villeneuve, Profweb’s Coordinator, chose the blog of Daniel Bourry IT Representative at Cégep du Vieux Montreal which was voted favourite by the IT Representatives’ Network.

  • Marie-Andrée

Marie-Andrée Gingras, web project manager at Profweb and a teacher in multimedia integration technology, chose the blog of Luc Blain, IT Rep and a colleague of hers at the Cégep de Sainte-Foy. One can find a wealth of resources here.

  • Mathieu Brisson, technical support for our web space, chose the blog of Jean-François Nadeau for learning more about information and communication technology (ICT) applications, user strategies and devices.

  • Norm Spatz, Editor of our English service, proposed taking a look at the Vanier College blog. Another great discovery is Backbone Magazine. If you haven’t caught it as an insert into the Globe and Mail, this is your chance to discover it online.

  • Marc-Andre Laflamme, editor, rediscovered Citépolis by visiting the technology blog at CEGEP Edouard-Montpetit – Les sciences humaines en mouvement. Kudos to Laurence Bégin, IT Rep.

  • Andréanne Turgeon, project manager and editor, was impressed by the site TacTic Pédagogiques, a collaboration between Chantal Desrosiers, IT Representative at Cégep de Trois-Rivières, and Bernard Gagnon, IT Representative at Cégep de Saint-Félicien.

  • Guillaume Vachon, Profweb’s webmaster, selected the site Labo technopédagogique du Service des ressources didactiques at Cégep de Saint-Jérôme (CSTJ). He also spotted a link to the French service’s discipline specific resource sheets prepared by the Profweb team. Kudos to Frank Fournier, IT Rep.
