The program of the 39th annual symposium of the Association québécoise de pédagogie collégiale (AQPC) is online [in French]! An English-language synoptic table is also available. Register now so you don’t miss the event, which will take place in Rimouski from June 5 to 7, 2019.

Diversity on the Horizon

The theme chosen for 2019 is Educational Horizons: The Course on Diversity! It speaks to the responsibility we have as teachers, professionals and managers to take into account this changing landscape to properly support students. Whether set in the real world or the virtual world, the classroom is the place where respect for others and critical thinking develop, in accordance with the destination pursued by pre-university, technical or continuing education programs. The world is changing rapidly, bringing change and diversity. This 39th symposium invites you to a major educational event: join speakers and communicators who are eager to instil synergy in deploying tools that enable a bold efficiency to improve our practices.

Spotlight on Technologies

No fewer than 125 papers will be presented at the symposium. More than 30 communications will focus on the use of technology in college education, including:

  • The opening conference by François Guité, L’intelligence artificielle et l’éducation augmentée [Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Education] (Workshop 100)
  • The first part of the Rendez-vous Revoir l’ordre des choses [Reviewing the Order of Things Meeting] (Workshop 204), entitled Vers une métamorphose de la session traditionnelle: et s’il était possible que les étudiants n’échouent jamais? [Towards a metamorphosis of the traditional semester: what if it were possible for students to never fail?]
  • Rendez-vous des cadres [Executive Meeting] on the Digital Action Plan (DAP) (Workshops 402-502)
  • The presentation of the DAP by the ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement [Ministry of Education and Higher Education] (Workshop 214).

These are but a few examples: by browsing the thematic index of the program [in French], you will be able to observe the importance of ICT!

All conferences and the majority of workshops will be presented between Wednesday, June 5 and Friday, June 7, 2019 at the Rimouski Convention Center.
