Terry Anderson on Learning in Open Groups, Networks and Collectives
Here is a podcast featuring Dr. Terry Anderson, professor and Canada Research Chair in Distance Education at Athabasca University, Canada’s Open University (34,000 students).
Mr. Anderson offered, last March 19, a keynote presentation called “Learning to Learn in Open Groups, Networks and Collectives” at the MATI conference at Université de Montréal.
In this interview, we go through his presentation, and he tells me how networks, social media and informal learning should be considered as part of people’s learning experience.I called him at Athabasca University in Alberta, did the phone interview computer through computer with Skype (no long distance fees), recorded the call with CallGraph and edited the interview with Audacity. All three softwares are free and Open Source.
