About the author
is an associate professor at the Faculty of Education of Université de Sherbrooke. She is in charge of the Master’s of Teaching degree at the college level (French academic pathway) of the PERFORMA Sector. Her research and teaching interests focus on the field of teaching at the college level in higher education. She is especially interested in assessment practices and the assessment of learning in a competency-based approach (Leroux, 2009, 2010).
She edited a book that deals with the assessment of competencies at the college and university levels (Leroux 2015), numerous articles, chapters of books as well as the online network tool that offers several online resources. As head of research, she carried out an action research and training with the Cégep à distance. Her objective was to develop an assessment process for distance learning competencies in a collaborative approach at higher education. In the research project financed by the FRQSC (2016-2019), she documents distance learning assessment practices in a competency-based approach at the college level in higher education.
