Planning the presentation of information is essential for obtaining satisfying results and for the smooth accomplishment of the work to be done. In other words, planning a presentation so that it is relevant, structured and attractive and that also eases the completion of each step.

This objective brings together all tasks done prior to planning the production and development of the work. First, it consists of selecting the type of presentation and the appropriate tool according to different criteria. Next, it is necessary to plan the logistic and technical aspects according to different factors, and, finally, it is important to develop a good production plan.

3.1.1 – Select type of presentation and appropriate tool

This task consists of, first, choosing the type of presentation best suited to the work to be done and to the target audience by taking into account several contextual elements.

It also targets choosing the best software for the type of presentation selected and of the different parameters.

3.1.2 – Foresee the logistical and technical aspects of the presentation

This task consists of planning and carrying out the actions required to ensure the smooth progression of the work to be completed and to attain the expected results.

To do so, students plan and carry out their actions. They specify the materials required and carry out the checks and necessary operations needed for the smooth operation of the project. In particular, they must consider all of the technical aspects linked with the presentation tool and materials.

This step consists of creating a timetable, distributing the tasks if the work is to be carried out by a team, consulting resource-persons, gathering useful resources and learning the required concepts for the work to be achieved.

3.1.3 – Design the production plan

This task targets the development of a work plan that will allow students to identify and organize the ideas and elements which will be the topic of the presentation.

For students, this means examining the content of the work to be completed and how to structure it. This plan allows students to get a general idea of their work and will make accomplishing it out easier.
