About the author

, originally from Algeria, completed and obtained her PhD in physics in 2010 working with the Groupe de physique théorique des particules at the Université de Montréal. Since 2010, she has been teaching physics in the pre-university and technical programs at the Cégep du Vieux-Montréal. She is particularly interested in pedagogical activities involving laboratory experiments, an approach she actively uses in her courses. As a member of the Science Department of the Cégep du Vieux-Montréal, she contributes to improving laboratory experiments and protocols and exploring new ideas.

Since the fall of 2019, she has been collaborating on the project of smartphone accelerometers. Among other things, she has been testing laboratory experiments in the classroom using the accelerometer application on smartphones.

Locally, she is involved in projects that aim to support the learning and success in physics courses of students with difficulties and disabilities.
