AQPC Webinar | Accelerating Learning with the Social Brain
Lessons at school are usually taught as a series of puzzles to solve and facts to remember. Yet, our brains have evolved over the millenia primarily to cope with social complexity rather than puzzle solving. When the social context of the information to be learned is enhanced, students learn better (Liebermann, 2012). Teachers, therefore, can accelerate learning in all subjects by engaging the social brain to assist the information brain. We’ll explain how with concrete examples for the classroom and in the computer lab.
