Profweb is renewing its image to remain the ultimate reference for technology integration into college teaching. Although Profweb has always presented college teachers with resources, products and services available in the Quebec college network, Profweb’s new identity will better reflect the spirit of participation and the valuable collaboration among teachers who have shared, week after week for 8 years, their experiences and expertise to inspire other teachers.
A New Profweb
Profweb has earned a place in the college system as the Quebec College Crossroad for IT Integration. For 8 years now, the Profweb site has always aimed to inspire teachers and help enrich their teaching through the use of services and products developed in the college system promoting the integration of technology. Our website has been central to Profweb’s activities, and the time has come to give it a new image.
Therefore, Profweb is renewing its image – and soon its website – to better inspire and equip teachers to develop rewarding and inspiring teaching practices that incorporate technology. Profweb continues fulfilling the mission entrusted to it by MELS (ministère de l’Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport), as well as MESRST (ministère de l’Enseignement Supérieur, de la Recherche, de la Science et de la Technologie) in collaboration with the network’s IT partners. The Profweb team continues being a presence in Quebec’s colleges, documenting teachers’ initiatives and the development of products and services made available to the college network.
The Profweb site provides access at one address to all the college projects and achievements integrating information and communication technology. The site fosters the sharing of expertise and contributes to the enhancement of initiatives, not only on the part of teachers, but of educational stakeholders and organizations of interest to college teachers.
A New Visual Identity
Profweb’s renewal is built upon a long and successful tradition. Our visual identity is being modernized to create a contemporary image with a dynamic and accessible message.
The selected shade of blue is both vibrant and relaxing, inspiring both confidence and strength. The colour harmonizes with a solid and reassuring gray.
A style guide has been designed to standardize methods of use and graphical representations of Profweb’s visual identity. The graphic standards guide must be used by anyone incorporating the visual identity of Profweb into their information.
A New Slogan
Profweb has contributed to the efforts of teachers to adjust their teaching activities to the emerging realities of students for several years now. Profweb’s pages are filled with stories of teachers who are renewing their practices and developing activities where students are motivated to succeed. In college, the way teachers approach technology integration is evolving. Profweb is seeking to support teachers and to listen to their needs.
To better embody its new vision, Profweb has renewed its slogan, a slogan that reflects activities related to the Profweb site: Learning Objects and Inspiring Learning.
A New Website Shortly
In the coming months, the Profweb you have become accustomed to will give way to a new site. The structure of the next site has been completely redesigned with the input of many teachers. More current and also more efficient, the new site will find the information and resources to inspire and empower teachers better as well as help them develop effective and promising teaching practices that incorporate technology. The launch of Profweb’s new face will take place during the AQPC Symposium to be held in Laval on June 3, 4 and 5, 2014.
