Profweb Joins the New Technopedagogical Hub of Collecto

This text was initially published by Profweb under a CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 International licence, before Eductive was launched.

For the past 15 years, Profweb has witnessed and actively participated in the evolution of technopedagogy in the Quebec college network. True to its mission to promote the integration of technologies in teaching and learning, Profweb encourages teachers to innovate by presenting them with testimonials and examples of inspiring pedagogical practices as well as useful digital resources. Profweb also contributes to publicizing the products, resources and services offered by organizations in the college network to support teachers in the pedagogical integration of digital technology.

Initially created within the ministère de l’Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport (Ministry of Education, Recreation and Sports), Profweb was housed at Cégep Limoilou for 10 years. Over the years, Profweb has been able to make a place for itself in the college environment and develop tangible links with the various stakeholders in the network. July 1, 2020 marked a new turning point for Profweb, which integrated Collecto [in French] to form, with the Vitrine technologie-éducation and DECclic, a new service hub dedicated to the integration of technology in teaching and learning at the college level. This pooling of expertise will enhance the service offering to support teachers in integrating digital technology into their courses and meet the technopedagogical needs of colleges. The new technopedagogical hub plans to develop a new range of services in response to the needs of the college network and is already working on their development.

The Profweb team, always on the lookout for stimulating and innovative practices, will use its expertise within this new hub to continue supporting and inspiring teachers, in a context where digital technology is more than ever essential to the pursuit of pedagogical activities.
