Developing the Digital Skills of Educational Advisors with the I-mersion Project
Are you an educational advisor in the college network? Then the I-mersion project is for you! As part of this project, Performa has been mandated by the ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur (Ministry of Higher Education) to support the development of the pedagogical use of digital technology for educational advisors at the college level. The I-mersion CP project aims at the professional development of educational advisors with regard to digital competency.
In your role as an educational advisor, how can digital technology be useful to you to:
- produce content?
- carry out strategic watch?
- communicate with your work team and the teachers you support?
- adopt an inclusive approach with the teachers and teams you work with, and respond to the needs of each?
- innovate within your institution?
To gain efficiency and a sense of competence, digital technology can become a valuable ally.
To discuss these issues with colleagues and experts, attend the project launch day on June 17, 2021! Like the entire project, this day is entirely dedicated to educational advisors in the college network. It will be an opportunity to share your needs in order to guide a 2 ½-year professional development project aimed specifically at educational advisors.

A first event on June 17, 2021: an opportunity for renewal and inspiration
Without any obligation to commit to the remainder of the project, your participation on June 17 will be an opportunity for renewal and inspiration. Several workshops on various themes will be offered, in French and in English.
Program of the I-mersion project launch day on June 17, 2021
Participation (both on the launch day and throughout the entire project) is completely free. The Performa team has contacted college administrators to encourage them to allow their educational advisors to be available for the day.
The project is not linked to a Performa credited training program: it is an independent project fully funded by the ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur.
A co-construction project
Based on the needs identified by the educational advisors themselves, the I-mersion project aims to create a genuine professional development space.
- Pedagogical advisors will have access to useful resources.
- One or more communities of practice can be set up.
Christelle Lison, the project leader, and Nathalie Marceau, an educational advisor with Performa, are aiming for a great deal of flexibility with respect to the ways in which interested educational advisors can participate. The project can be adapted to what each advisor wants to do and to the needs and realities of their environment.
College-level educational advisors, we invite you to register for the June 17, 2021 launch day. It’s an event not to be missed!
